After seeing Dave Morin's talk at SXSW, including Gary V's presentation on how he plans to use it, I'm more optimistic that the new Pages product has a good chance of success.

If I had to guess today, I think that larger brands will use the new design to double-down their efforts to make the Facebook Pages product work for them. There are just too many of their existing and potential customers on Facebook for them to not try to make that experience work better.

I suspect that smaller brands, small businesses, personal branders, and individuals who already have scale (as defined by them) will stick with Twitter.
