Contact Me

I’m generally pretty easy to find. Here’s a simple list of ways to get in touch with me:

phone: (650) 249-0905

email: charles [at] this blogurl

Twitter: chudson

LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/chudson – I generally will accept LinkedIn invitations from people I know or with whom I’ve done business. Aside from those categories, I’m not inclined to accept new invitations at this point.

I wanted to recommend a couple of spas. At the Enchantment Resort in Sedona: Mii Amo, in Henderson, Nevada at the Green Valley Ranch Casino the GVR Spa, and the Ritz at Lake Las Vegas.

Also, for restaurants: At Cesar's Palace in Las Vegas: il Mulino. Also, Mii Amo has a restaurant too and they grow their herbs in the property. Waikiki: Sasabune (don't use your phone in the restaurant, and get the chef's special. It does, however, come with instructions like one-bite, no soy-sauce, etc.).

    Charles,
I'm working through the US Virtual Goods Market 09-10 that you published in October for a client and have 3 questions:

    1. p 67/68 Casual MMO market size: $45M (17%); Virtual World market size of $215M (83%), but the pie charts shows opposite. Is the pie chart labeled backwards (ie Virtual Worlds should show 83% instead of 17%)?

    2. p 52-54 Social Network Revenues: 11M unique Americans participating in VG purchase * 2-3% spend $8-$12/mo = $300M and 97-98% spend $1.90-2.00/mo = $190M-$200M. My math doesn't work out (and is logarithmically wrong) when I multiply the % participation and $/month by 11M users. What am I doing wrong?
If I try to back into the Annual Revenue numbers like this: $300M /$10 per month = 30 million paying users required to get the high end users revenue. This doesn't seem right either. Any advice?

    3. p 56; Social game developers, top 3 are Zynga, Playfish and Playdom. Is there a short list of competitors that make up the $75M to “other smaller players” I can guess, but thought I would ask. Thanks!

Let me know if you can help.
Thanks in advance for your time.
